06/09/2021 Panhandle Homes of Berkeley County – our name says it all. We’re proud to be from Berkeley County, West Virginia, and to have spent our careers helping to grow Berkeley County into West Virginia’s showcase community, one home and neighborhood at a time. Finely crafted homes and residential areas which have earned local and state recognition as ‘Best in West Virginia” award winners year, after year. Born here, raised here. You know many of us, and we know many of you. For those of you just getting to know us, ask others about us. Talk to our homeowners, ask your lenders, bankers, attorneys and insurance agents about us. Ask the ‘man on the street’. Our reputation, as defined by those who know us, is our biggest asset. Panhandle Homes of Berkeley County is a division of Panhandle Builders and Excavating, Inc. which was founded in 1986 by L. Allen Henry, David Henry, and Carole Henry with a primary focus of providing quality excavation and general contracting services to businesses and residents of Berkeley County. From this humble beginning to now, 35 years later, the company is recognized as a driving force in the commercial and residential construction and development industry in the Eastern Panhandle, as well as other surrounding areas. Included in the mix are neighborhoods thoughtfully and carefully created by us: Hammond’s Mill, Bridle Creek, Brookfield, Willow Ridge, Spring Mills, and now Cardinal Pointe. As the Developer and primary builder, we provide unmatched continuity, information, and detail about the areas in which we build. What is more important than dependability in today’s ever-changing market? Panhandle Homes takes pride in responding to the many opportunities to give back to the community that has provided us so much throughout our history. Contributions are as varied as donation of funds, time, materials, and support for Habitat for Humanity, Berkeley County Parks and Recreation, Boys and Girls Club of Martinsburg, Poor House Farm Park Equestrian Center, United Way’s Safe Haven Child Advocacy Center, Kids Power Pacs, other local food drives, and the donation of a significant tract of land for the North Berkeley County Library. Our company president has been recognized by the Chamber of Commerce as its Businessman of the Year; the company was recognized as the Corporate Philanthropist of the Year by the Eastern Panhandle Community Foundation. Panhandle Homes reserves the right to change any of the selection choices in order to maintain the high standards that we set for ourselves and the homes that we build, and due to availability of material.
